While traveling to the Northern Peruvian Andes, in the city of Cajabamba I saw this man entering a store with his wife. Both were dressed in the traditional attire for that region. On their faces I could read so much that is good and noble in humans. I wondered where they lived. And about they family and their friends. Their dreams and struggles. All the things we all deal with no matter where we live. I asked them if I could take their photo and the agreed. This painting takes me back to this man’s world, where he has been forged by the Andes.
