Jesus and Mary Magdalene at the Tomb

Oil on Linen
30 X 40

This piece took a lot of planning in the making. For starters, I constructed a tomb out of plaster of Paris and paper so I could get an accurate view of the light coming from the right. Then, I employed models and did a photo shoot utilizing the same lighting. After the composition was finished, I only had a week to finish it, since the image was going to be used by a local church for their Easter services. Working day and night did the trick.
